When you’re getting married, you want to make sure you have the best wedding photographer available. After all, we’re the ones that make sure your glorious wedding day is perfectly captured to bring back the richness of your memories if they start to fade.
Now, one of the things you’ll notice on photography websites are customer testimonials. If you visit a wedding photographer, they may have a book of testimonials, ready for you to look at if you want. By the way, wedding photographers aren’t the only ones who do this; wedding venues, suppliers and coordinators may all have testimonials ready for viewing.
Why? Is it just a matter of bragging rights? Are we just pointing and saying, “Lookit – we did good”?
Not at all. Believe it or not, testimonials are one of the biggest things that can help you choose the appropriate wedding photographer, coordinator, venue and more – and here’s how:
As photographers, with pictures being our trade, we can show them to you and say, “This is what we can do for you.” However, we may have just been lucky that day – you never know. We can sit down and tell you how we provide our craft, from where we’d take the pictures to how often, but you won’t know it’s true until after you hire us and we’ve done the work. In other words, all you have to go on is what we say and choose to show you.
Personal testimonials from clients we’ve worked with make all the difference, and give you a real taste of the photographic results we provide. The same goes for the wedding coordinator you choose, venues, etc. There are other wedding photographers out there who do good work, but what if they’re methods or personalities don’t work well for you? How would you find out what type of people they – and we – are without customer testimonials?
While planning for your wedding, take the time to read customer wedding testimonials. They’re the best way to find out what other people think about the work we, and others, have done.
